By creating an account or using LitePassword in any way, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

3. User Accounts

• You must register using a valid email via our authentication provider (Clerk).
• You are responsible for safeguarding your account, including your Master Password.
• We cannot recover your data if you lose your Master Password and Recovery Key.

4. Security and Encryption

LitePassword uses client-side AES-256 encryption. This means:

• We do not store or have access to your Master Password or decrypted vault data.
• All sensitive data is encrypted locally and stored encrypted on our servers.
• You are solely responsible for storing your Recovery Key securely.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use LitePassword:

• For any unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent activity
• To store or share illegal content
• To attempt unauthorized access to our systems or other users’ data

6. Subscription & Payments

• We offer free and paid plans.
• Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually via Stripe.
• You may cancel your subscription anytime. No refunds are provided for partial billing cycles.
• Failure to pay may result in limited access or deletion of your account.

7. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in harmful behavior.

8. Data Deletion

Upon account deletion:

• Your encrypted data is permanently removed within 7 days.
• We cannot retrieve deleted encrypted content.

9. Downtime and Maintenance

We strive to provide a reliable service, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance, upgrades, or emergency fixes, which may temporarily affect availability.

10. Intellectual Property

All content on LitePassword—including branding, UI, and underlying code—is owned by us or our licensors. You may not duplicate, copy, or resell our software or services without permission.

11. Third-Party Services

We use third-party services such as:

• Clerk (authentication)
• Stripe (billing)
• AWS/DigitalOcean (hosting)

By using LitePassword, you agree to their terms as part of our service.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

LitePassword is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the Service will be error-free, secure, or uninterrupted.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• We are not liable for any indirect or consequential damages resulting from your use of the Service.
• Our total liability for any claim arising from use of the Service is limited to the amount you paid in the previous 12 months.
